The clinicians at the MWCCC have specialized training in the assessment and treatment of individuals with concussion. 

We provide individualized assessment of the medical and cognitive effects of concussion, as well as treatment for both the physical and emotional problems related to these injuries. 

We provide an interdisciplinary and innovative approach to the care of injured athletes and patients to aid the recovery process.  There is no other program in the Chicago area that offers the same level of expertise in the management of concussive injuries.

Dr. O’Leary received his medical degree from Georgetown University and went on to complete a residency in neurological surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.  read more

John Doherty, MS, PT, ATC
Mr. Doherty is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame where he earned a Bachelors of Arts degree.  He then obtained a Master’s degree in Physical therapy from the University of Indianapolis. read more
Neuropsychological Assessment
Dr. Pieroth provides neuropsychological assessment of the cognitive deficits and psychological issues resulting from a concussion.  read more

Medical Treatment
Dr. O’Leary can evaluate and treat headaches, neck injuries and other physical problems resulting from a concussion.  read more

Physical Therapy/Athletic Training
Mr. Doherty can supervise return-to-play physical exertion programs and provide physical therapy treatment specifically designed for the athlete or patient recovery from concussion. read more
